Bishop Truett will be speaking nightly at the P.B.C.I. General Assembly in Benguet, Philippines, March 26 - 28th where the organization is celebrating 50 years and conducting their annual ordination service and Bible college graduation.

Bishop will also be ministering in their mother church Philippine Bethel Church in La Trinidad.

We are excited about this assignment as Bishop's father who passed many years ago, Dr. J.D. Truett, helped establish Philippine Bethel Church these 50 years ago. Bishop Truett has never met Dr. Baguitay, founder of P.B.C.I. so this reunion is quite special.

We are praying that the anointing of God will fall fresh and powerfully during this celebration and that many lives will be touched and changed forever.

As we wrote in an earlier letter, the Maasai Momma is visiting this village once a month.  They wanted to know more about our school, so we now have three students from that village.

On Friday evening, the 19th, we decided that we would take a team to that village.

Sat. morning we loaded up seven of our students, two of which were from that village, (so we would know the way) and headed out.  We arrived there about three thirty.

As we arrived, there was a choir dancing down the hill to greet us.  When the first choir finished, the second choir began to sing as they came from the nearby school building.  It was such a touching time.  We all stood around under the tree watching and listening.

After this, Daudi who is the village King and is now one of our students, invited us to the school to share the Word.  Five people gave their hearts to the Lord.

Later we went back under the tree for chi.  The District Chairman was there.  He, Daudi, Dominic and I were invited to a separate area where they brought us half a goat for supper.  It was very well cooked so I could eat it.  The rest of the team was taken back to the school building for rice and beans.

After supper, we went to Daudi's Boma where he lives.  It is very nice.  There are some mud huts and also some huts made out of wood which is very unusual.

We went to his home and sat around talking.  A little later Dominic and I went up the hill behind his home.  We could see three mountains from there.  We also watched a beautiful sunset.  We came back down to the Boma and talked for quite a while.  The King's family then served us rice and beans.

About 6:45 we started singing.  It was dark and yet the moon was very bright.  It was a great time.  Maasai Momma spoke for a few minutes and then we prayed.  Eight or nine people came forward to give their hearts to the Lord.  Daudi was one of them.  It was a very touching time.  We didn't leave there till about 9:30 or 10.

We then drove about seven kilometers to a government school where we spent the night.  All the guys stayed in one small room and the girls in another.  They did have mattresses for us to sleep on. (Praise the Lord).

The next morning we were up early and walked a few hundred feet to the pastor of the school's house.  She served us bread and chi.

We then broke up into four different teams and went to different parts of the village.  The village covered several square miles as each Boma is a family group.

Dominic and I went back to the King's place.  There were only about five there when we arrived.  We began to sing and many more came.  About 20 in all, mostly women.  Three men plus two Pastors were there.  I preached and 5 more gave their hearts to the Lord.  What a joy.

We were ready to leave but Daudi said we had to eat first.

We arrived back at the school where we stayed and one team had not returned yet so Dominic took the van and went after them.  He had to drive out about three kilometers.   Found the team still preaching.  The people did not want to let them go.  Twenty Six people gave their hearts to the Lord there.

We gathered back at the school and wanted to leave but Momma Pastor wanted to feed us.  We had rice and beans. (I hope you know I love rice and beans)

Another team member prayed for a girl that couldn't speak.  There was no immediate response but when she got home, she started to laugh and her mother began teaching her to talk.  God is amazing.

Left about 2:30 and got home at 6 just as the sun was setting.  What a wonderful weekend.  All total fifty six gave their hearts to the Lord. Reaching the Un-reached for Jesus.
